TERRY FOX RUN - IS MY WAY OF GIVING BACK TO MY COMMUNITY

The Terry Fox Marathon of Hope holds a very special place in my heart. In 2011, I launched Team Luba Beley at the High Park Run. We ran 10K that first year and became the second-highest donor team for the event. That year changed everything.

After that, I was invited to Co-Chair the High Park Terry Fox Run Committee—a role I was honoured to accept. Each year since, we’ve raised more funds, brought more people in, and kept Terry’s legacy alive in our own neighbourhood.

In 2022, we marked 12 consecutive years of showing up, running, raising, and remembering. Alongside my co-lead David Smyth, we set a $5,000 goal—and with the help of 77 supporters, we doubled it, raising $10,325.

To date, Team Luba Beley has raised over $110,000 for cancer research. This run wouldn’t be possible without the kindness, generosity, and loyalty of everyone who joins, donates, or cheers from the sidelines.

With gratitude,
Luba Beley

Dreams are made possible if you try.

royal LePage Shelter Foundation

Supporting safe housing and fresh starts for women and children

Because home should be safe—for everyone.

Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charitable foundation. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to supporting women’s shelters and violence-prevention programs. Since 1998, it has raised over $51 million to help women and children rebuild their lives.

This cause is deeply personal to me. I know what it means to rebuild from difficult circumstances, and I want more women and children to have safe options, real support, and a real chance to start again.

From every home I sell, I donate a portion of my commission to the Shelter Foundation. I also support local fundraising events and initiatives throughout the year. It’s one concrete way I can use my work in real estate to help protect those who are most vulnerable—and to honour the women who are still finding their way to safety and stability.
